UA Local 434 owns and operates training centers in Eau Claire, La Crosse, & Mosinee Wisconsin and trains our members to be the best qualified and most productive skilled workforce in the piping industry. The training provided by UA Local 434 is funded totally by our members without any taxpayer support.
Through our training department we offer Journeyman and Apprentice training in Plumbing, Steamfitting, and HVAC Service for our members. We also provide advanced certifications in Welding, Industrial Rigging, Medical Gas Installation, Backflow Testing, Foreman Supervision, and several others.
Training Coordinator Gary Korn oversees the operation of our entire training program and works with UA Local 434 instructors, who are certified through the UA-Instructor Training Program, to provide high quality training classes.
The Training Fund admits apprentices of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to apprentices in the Fund's apprenticeship programs. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and other Training Fund-administered programs.
